I let y'all know I was unhappy with the start of our warm-up and everyone responded well. Thank you! It was a safety issue and I appreciate your cooperation there.
We swam well but fell short in team scoring to Anderson HS. We'll email link to results soon. Captains will let us know who our swimmers of the meet were.
The next couple of mornings will be a bit chilly, so dress warmly.
Let's clean up our entries on our starts. While this video focuses mainly on the legs, pay close attention to how cleanly this young lady enters the water with locked out arms and a very tight steamlined position:
A few of you still owe our trainer paperwork. This should have been taken care of weeks (months?) ago, so let's get that wrapped up!
The Austin ISD Invite is our next meet. This will be an observed meet. Entries are due no later than Friday, Nov. 2. Entries are limited to four (4) individuals* and one (1) relay per team. This means we will not be able to take our entire squad. If you're hoping to attend, please drop me an email with three (3) individual events (in order of preference) you'd like to swim. I hope we can get you into one or two of those (no guarantees). Wouldn't hurt to include your USA Swimming number just in case I don't have it.
The Bob Stallings Aggieland Invite entries are also due on Nov. 2. This will also be an observed meet. We will be able to take our entire squad, as there are no limits on entries. As with the AISD invite, please email me three (3) individual events (in order of preference) you'd like to swim. Again, no guarantees. USA Swimming number required if you want your times to go into SWIMS.
Finally, this reminder from decathlon great Bill Toomey:
There is no one magic move or secret that creates
victory, but lots of little items that when added
together can make you victorious.
